Radio was a completely new experience for us Austrians in the USA in 1986. In Austria at that time, we only had one major broadcasting company, the ORF. No community radio, no collage radio, no private stations. The music we loved was on for 55 minutes a day starting at 3pm: the "Musikbox"!
n the USA, we were immersed in a whole new radio experience. The new experiences at collage and community radio stations were particularly positive. In some cities, like berkely or San Francisco, there were also excellent FM radio stations. Here on KUSF in San Francisco.
