Corona hat eines verdeutlicht: Livemusik ist mehr als bloß eine Bühne mit Soundsystem und Publikum vor der Bühne. Seit Mitte März 2020 verrenken wir uns, wie wir momentan und zukünftig auftreten und mit unseren Fans kommunizieren werden. Deshalb arbeite ich an einem langen und „lauten“ Statement. Via Streaming präsentiere ich mein musikalisches Werk live in einem 24 Stunden Musik Marathon aus meinem Workspace, dem Sonic Sound Studio, wo gleichzeitig auch neue Produkte (NFTs) entstehen. Die Zuhörer:innen tauchen in ein Werk der Tonkunst ein, in Techno oder Bass Music, gespielt, algorithmisch generiert oder im DJ-Mix entstanden. Der Ablauf ist so gestaltet, dass man als Zuhörer:in ein- und aussteigen kann, ohne den Faden zu verlieren.
LIVE
Wolfgang Dorninger überträgt mit seinen langjährigen musikalischen Partnern 24 Stunden lang ein globales Konzert live aus dem Sonic Sound Studio in Linz. Es werden ausschließlich Werke von Dorninger und „seinen“ Bands live gespielt, gemischt oder algorithmisch generiert aufgeführt.

About the artist
Der Klang steht im Mittelpunkt der künstlerischen Arbeit von Wolfgang Dorninger, ganz gleich, ob als Betreiber des experimentellen Musiklabels base, als Performer, Komponist für Bands, von Theater- und Filmmusik oder als Sounddesigner, Klangkünstler und Lektor an der Kunstuniversität Linz. Sein Werk ist zwischen den Polen digitaler Klangerzeugung und konkreter Klänge angesiedelt. Seine Anordnungen reichen von konzertanten Raum-Klang-Installationen, multimedialen Performances und akustischen Präsentationen bis zu Theatermusik und Techno.

Corona has made one thing clear: live music is more than just a stage with a sound system and an audience in front of the stage. Since mid-March 2020 we are contorting how we will perform and communicate with our fans at the moment and in the future. That's why I'm working on a long and "loud" statement. Via streaming I present my musical output live in a 24 hour music marathon from my workspace, the Sonic Sound Studio, where new products (NFTs) are created at the same time. The listeners are immersed in a work of sound art, techno or bass music, played, algorithmically generated or created in a DJ mix. The sequence is designed in such a way that the listener can enter and exit without losing the thread.
LIVE
Wolfgang Dorninger and his long-time musical partners broadcast a global concert live for 24 hours from the Sonic Sound Studio in Linz. Only works by Dorninger and "his" bands will be performed live, mixed or algorithmically generated.
STREAMING
The 24-hour performance will be broadcast via video stream. To access the stream, you must buy a ticket in advance. Information is available here.

About the artist
Sound is at the centre of Wolfgang Dorninger's artistic work, whether as owner of the experimental music label base, as a performer, composer for bands, of theatre and film music or as a sound designer, sound artist and lecturer at the Linz University of the Arts. His work is situated between the poles of digital sound production and concrete sounds. His arrangements range from space-sound installations, multimedia performances and acoustic presentations to theatre music and techno.
Winner of the City of Linz Art Prize 2020 for media, product and communication design.
